Running of the degree The three institutions will undertake the management of the course. Rules and regulations will give details of the running and management of the course.
Teaching organisation The Orientation Board proposes each year the number of places open to recruitment for each of the 3 Universities. The applications are examined and agreed by Grenoble INP, the Facolta di Ingegneria dell'Informazione du Politecnico and the Admission to Master Commission of the EPFL.
Responsability of the course A Director assisted by 2 deputies, which each represent one of the Universities, are responsible for the Micro and Nanotechnologies for Integrated Systems course. Said representatives are named and appointed for 3 years by the President of the INP Grenoble based on the opinion of the Board of Directors of the INP Grenoble, the Dean of the Facolta di Ingegneria dell'Informazione du Politecnico and the Management of the EPFL. After consulting with the Board of Directors of the INP Grenoble, the President of Grenoble INP, the Dean of the Facolta di Ingegneria dell' Informazione du Politecnico and the management of the EPFL will appoint the director for one year among the 3 representatives.
Administrative organisation The Micro and Nanotechnologies for Integrated Systems course has the facilities and the personnel that it needs. These facilities and the personnel are provided by the 3 Universities.
The orientation board
Composition The orientation board shall be composed of the following members:
Director of Phelma
Directors of the electricity and microtechnology sections of the EPFL.
Dean of the Facolta di Ingegneria dell'Informazione and the teacher responsible for nanotechnologies at the Facolta di Ingegneria dell'Informazione of the Politecnico
The director of the course and his/her deputies
Three students of the course : one student from Grenoble INP, one student from Politecnico and one student from EPFL.
Three teacher researchers teaching in the course: one teacher from the INP Grenoble, one teacher from the Politecnico and 1 teacher from the EPFL.
The Orientation Board will invite three outside persons to participate in the Board.
Powers The Director shall consult the Board on all matters relating to the proper operating of the course. The Board shall propose changes to the content and organisation of the studies within the course and decide on envisaged changes.
Operating The Orientation Board shall appoint its own Chairman. It shall hold ordinary meetings at least once a year. The Chairman shall send out invitations to attend meetings at least ten days before the date of the meeting.
